My Aunt has a friend who just left a community in Naples, Florida. It is considered a place for the very wealthy and she felt uncomfortable after her husband died. It was not a casual enough atmosphere for her. She had married her last husband late in life and he thought he was protecting her by buying into the community. However, once he died she began to feel uncomfortable. She recently bought a condo in a mixed-age community in Bonita Springs. She has a niece who lives close by/ The remarkable thing is that she still drives and loves the casinos! She is now 96 years old, walks several miles a day, and swims laps each day as well. Circumstances are different for everyone. She is in great health and has a wonderful pension as well as other investments. She was able to make her own decisions and is not afraid of her health declining. She is saving a lot of money as well.
