Take Our Quick Poll About Snowbirds!
Category: Best Retirement Towns and States
November 17, 2018. We would love to share with you solid information about how many retirees are interested in becoming a snowbird. Where they come from, and where they go to for the winter. How they found the places they snowbird in. Rent vs. own. And more.
But to do that we need YOU to fill out this quick 10 question survey. We promise it will be easy, and the info we get interesting (we’ll have a full report out after Thanksgiving). But seriously, we need everyone to contribute by investing just a few minutes in the survey. This is your chance to say thanks for this FREE site!
Thank you.

I don't know what it would be called, perhaps "reverse snowbird" but those of us who live in a hot climate may desire to spend summers somewhere cooler. As climate change takes hold, our summers are increasingly hotter and more humid here in Texas. This past summer was just terrible. My wife wants to spend the summer in the mountains somewhere like Colorado. I would prefer to move to the desert in Arizona for most of the year and spend the summers at a higher elevation in Arizona like Flagstaff.

Interesting LS. We suspected there are some hardy souls who reverse snowbird so we are glad you let us know. We have adjusted the survey so that is an option. Down here in Key West we know some folks who go to the mountains of North Carolina for the summer.

Many people here in Washington, DC go to Maine for the summer. At the end of June the city can be pretty empty and stays that way for the whole summer. It is horribly hot and humid from June to nearly the end of September now. I know a few people who also head up to Halifax for the summer.

This is funny because we live in New York State and we go north in the summer months. Winter we go south. Not looking for 90 degree days. Anyplace that runs 60's or 70's is great with us.

This is a great survey with questions I have wondered about, will be anxious to see the results!
