      Indio, CA
The City of Festivals as it is known has quite a few surprises. The biggest is that this town just east of Palm Springs has an average age of 27 - about half what it is in the rest of the Coachella Valley. It has one of the longest municipal par 3 golf courses in the country, parks, and of course - the Tamale Festival.
