Keep your feedback coming.  We appreciate the ideas you have sent for retirement regions we should cover in future newsletter issues. Look for a second installment next week.

Are you living an unusual retirement lifestyle?  We would very much like to interview you for a future feature on unusual retirements. For example, are you now a professional volunteer, totally immersed in a new hobby, launched in a new career - or ????  We can't promise we can interview everyone, but if you think we should hear about your retirement please let us know.

Hair - The Musical  We journeyed into the Big Apple last Sunday for a great day. The highlight was seeing "Hair - The American Tribal Love-Rock Festival", a time capsule if there ever was one.  The songs, like "Age of Aquarius", "Frank Mills", and "Where Do I Go", will delight you; and the plot line - the drafting of Claude into the US Army - will bring you back to an era only us baby boomers can appreciate. Hint: if you go, insist on an aisle seat. The cast interacts heavily with the audience along the aisles, and in fact invites you to come up and dance at the finale.

We love a good list, and this one is a natural. So we looked at our traffic logs to see which were the 25 most visited active adult communities at Topretirements during 2009. Here is the list, (but get ready, there are plenty of surprises).

    Cloudy Forecast over Sunshine State
Florida is a state built on optimism.  So when doubts begin to creep in and angst replaces hope, many Floridians are questioning what the state is meant to be.

This peninsula in Tampa Bay has long been a mecca for retirees and tourists. It has some superb beaches, great neighborhoods, 3 colleges, and plenty to do.
    St. Pete

Do you have a home in an active adult or 55+ community you would like to sell? List it free in the new Classified section of our Forum - thousands of interested buyers will see it!  And if you are looking for a home in particular community, post that!

    Eureka, CA
Want to buy a Victorian home and restore it?  Eureka has one of the greatest concentrations of turn of the century homes this side of Cape May. Time stood still here for some decades, but this old lumber and shipping town is back.
