    Once again the south dominates our list of the best retirement states. We're using a new rating system this year -  the states are compared with a point system on 7 different factors. There's even an Excel sheet with the scores that you can customize. The factors include taxes, climate, and the cost of health care insurance.
     
     
    If there was any doubt about the scenery here, consider that "A River Runs Through It" was filmed near Missoula. A college town (University of Montana), Missoula is a lively place with fantastic outdoor recreation possibilities, including being named a bicycle friendly town.

    Once you start looking there is almost no end to the type of cruises that await your adventurous spirit.
