Small towns for retirement
A lot of small towns have big things to offer to retiring boomers. In this article we posit 5 reasons (like the easy social connections) for why you might like to retire in one . Each reason includes  a town that is a good example. Plus we've thrown in 5 other small towns for good measure.
Beaufort, NC

Jacksonville, OR
One of the original gold mining towns in Oregon, Jacksonville has over 100 buildings within its Historic District.  There are some Basque restaurants and  local wineries, along with a wonderful location in the Rogue River Valley's orchard region. The natural amphitheater is the venue for festivals and concerts.

Our friend  Ed gave Topretirements a nice compliment. He said he thought our Advanced Search is a a great database and resource  - the best retirement calculator he's seen.  In fact he went on to say in his opinion it is way more useful than our Retirement Ranger. Thanks Ed!
