| | To prove the point that no matter how many "bad" things a state has going against it for retirement, it probably has many other wonderful aspects too. Take Ocean City, NJ for example. This former Christian retreat features unbelievable beaches and harbors, in addition to its boardwalk.

| | Vermont is another state that made our 10 worst list. But that probably won't discourage the boomers who decide to retire hear for the clean air, beautiful mountains and forests, and artsy towns like Brattleboro.
