What Is Special about Almeria
Almeria has many interesting sights to see, including the Alcazaba, a mediaeval fortress begun in the 13th century but destroyed by an earthquake in 1522. The cathedral is quite interesting. It also has the largest naturist beach in Spain, which local authorities would like to downplay. One of Spain’s natural jewels is the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. The Park runs a long way through the beautiful and ecologically rich coasts of the western Mediterranean. The beaches are very special in Almeria and surrounding towns.
