Pine Mountain and nearby Pine Mountain Valley are very small towns of just over 1,000 people on Georgia's western boundary, about half-way down the state. Nearby towns in this area are Hamilton (small but cute). This has always been a very peaceful region that attracts tourists. Nearby Warm Springs is where Franklin D. Roosevelt sought rest and rehabilitation throughout his life; he built his Little White House, now a museum, because he believed in the therapeutic value of the warm springs in that town.
