Bridgeville hosts two popular festivals each autumn.  The Apple Scrapple Festival and the World Championship Pumpkin Chunkin. The Apple Scrapple celebrates the importance of both apples and scrapple to the region. The festival includes live entertainment and over 500 vendors and crafters.  This event has been written up in USA Today and was named a Top 100 Event in North America by the American Business Association.  The World Championship Pumpkin Chunkin is a competition of hurling pumpkins using mechanical means.  This event has been covered on TV by the Science Channel and includes rides, vendors and entertainment.
