Located in Maricopa County, Arizona,  The growth of this sprawling area was fueled by several master planned communities within in its limits. The master planned communities include Valencia, Sundance, and Verrado. Buckeye  is also a popular recreation destinations with nearby Skyline Regional Park, a 8,700 acre mountain preserve that boasts 20 miles of trails, picnic areas and camping. Buckeye Hills Recreation Area is also located nearby .  The growing city offers a market place, and shopping centers, along with many residential areas continuing to be developed.
