Camposol, Spain
What It Is Like to Retire in Camposol
Camposol is a new town near Mazarron in the beautiful country of Spain. The 'Warm Coast', Costa Calida has excellent weather and some beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean. Costa Calida remains, in some parts at least, relatively untouched by the concrete hand of tourism.
The area is popular with retirees from all over the world, and many active adult retirement communities are available. Property prices have recently started to heat up now that the motorway has been lengthened to connect Alicante with Cartagena and Murcia. The area is steeped in fascinating history, and offers a truly Spanish lifestyle.
The region's capital is the ancient city of Murcia. Founded in 831 by the Moors, who irrigated the plains around the River Segura, Murcia today is a thriving commercial city with a small town atmosphere. Many cathedrals, palaces and other grand public buildings adorn its narrow streets.
