This town is an excellent choice for retirees who want to live in a small and interesting university town. Kingston, (population 5,000) is actually an unincorporated village in the town of South Kingston. The Kingston Village Historic District has 38 buildings listed due to its stock of handsome Federal, Greek Revival, and Late Victorian architecture. There is at least one new luxury condominium development in the area. There are also assisted living facilities nearby. The Kingston downtown area is small but interesting.
