   W.CH has an unusual street grid layout. Typically, streets are laid out East to West, and North to South. The streets here are laid out, Northeast to Southwest, and Northwest to Southeast. This was done so the Courthouse would receive some sunlight every day of the year. Numerous locations in the city are on the National Registry of Historical places. There was a famous lynching attack here in 1894 of a convicted rapist ,that resulted in the deaths of many of the would-be lynchers.

This is a rural area 1 hour and 10 minutes from Cincinnati, and 42 minutes from Columbus and 33 minutes from Xenia, Ohio.

Plenty of Parks and trails for outdoor activities and groups. Hunting and fishing too. Shopping at the Walmart Kmart or the outlet stores 17 minutes up the road in Jeffersonville. Spa's and beauty shops, Murphy's Theater, and Bowling alleys not to mention a raceway and a speedway for racers. Community Vans and buses to Columbus daily.

Washington Court House has parks and picnic areas, and is part of the Tri-County Triangle Trail, which is a multi-use trial covering more than thirty miles. You can enjoy the many coffee shops and upscaled bars, Anne B Thompson restaurant, Big boys etc. It is home of Murphy's Theater and the Hobby shop that has classes in art. Wilmington College is 21 minutes away. For more cultural scene Columbus is about an hour away.
