Lebanon is a fairly affluent city of 20,000 in southwestern Ohio, part of the Cinncinati Metro. It is both a suburb and a town in its own right. Tourists come here for the The Warren County Historical Museum, an outstanding county museum. The Glendower State Memorial provides a classic example of residential Greek Revival architecture along with many elegant Empire and Victorian furnishings. Lebanon is also home to the Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad, which follow an old stage coach route. There is one of the largest YMCA's in the country, which boasts 3 indoor pools among its other attractions. There is also a 9 hole public golf course. Harness racing has been a feature of the Lebanon Raceway for a very long time.

Manufacturing is important to the economy, but the town's largest employer is the YMCA. Some travelers claim the town's budget is helped by the speed trap on I-71 as it is conveniently located between Cincinnati and Columbus, and is well known for writing tickets.
