Flagler Beach is a small town on Florida's north Atlantic coast, just above Daytona Beach and below Palm Coast.  The town is named for the former partner of John D. Rockefeller in Standard Oil, who went on to become a famous hotelier and railroad builder in Florida.  The population has declined somewhat to just under 4,500.  The peaceful 6 mile beach on this barrier island is nicknamed "Florida's Peaceful Beach".  Flagler Beach is popular with retirees and has an average age of 60.
