Downtown Evergreen includes a mix of historic buildings and local businesses, but it mostly consists of one street that winds through the valley. Evergreen Golf Club near the picturesque lake is a popular spot for recreation. The average age in Evergreen is 48, about 10 years higher than the average age in the state.

One drawback in Evergreen is the high cost of housingt. Although the downtown is interesting it is pretty much confined to one long street, and it is very touristy. In Evergreen you have to drive to everything.

Evergreen makes a great choice for people who want to be close to Denver but not in it, or to have easy access to mountains and ski areas to the west.
