Roseville is a rapidly growing community in northern California about 20 miles from Sacramento. The population was 147,773 in 2020, an increase of about 77% between 2000 and 2020. The town has spent tens of millions of dollars to redevelop its aging center. As a result it has attracted significant development and is now a shopping and commercial hub for the area. Roseville has an extremely ambitious master plan. The Vernon Streetscape Project is complete, and its Historic District and Riverside Corridor Streetscape Projects will be next. The infrastructure in place and planned has been very attractive for retirees, who are moving to the area in large numbers. Among other reasons, there is the potential to get a job here.
