Most of the towns that people know about in Arizona are either in the Phoenix, Tucson, or northern areas of Arizona. Kingman, however, is located in the northwestern part of the state, close to California. This town near I 40 and Route 66 of 32,689 grew approximately 55% between 2000 and 2020. There is a community college in town, Mohave Community College. Outdoor sports like hiking are very popular in the nearby mountains. Nearby towns lake Bullhead City, Lake Havasu, Butler, Golden Valley, and Boulder City are other alternatives. What Is Special about Kingman
Hualapai Mountain Park is reported to be a great place to hike. Kingman was the home of the actor Andy Devine. Now there is an Andy Devine Avenue, as well as the annual Andy Devine Days. Famous Route 66 runs through town.
What Is Not Special about Kingman
Criticism of Kingman usually centers around its isolation and distance from other cities. Healthcare is hard to find, particularly mental health care, according to some posters. It is not a great place for culture. Others say that the area is terribly windy in the winter and spring. It is in the desert and unusually dry.
